It's not a backless shelf: it's a box with no front or back, so what you put in it is framed instead of loose. Seventy centimetres of continuous space, without dividers — suitable for a row of books laid flat, for records, or for leaving almost empty with three items.

Fifteen centimetres deep is enough for a hardcover book or a small vase, and shallow enough for a hallway where a deep shelf would be an obstruction.

The bamboo is solid and fast-growing — a light and resistant wood, with visible light grain and a smooth finish to the touch. It weighs 2 kg, so two common wall plugs will hold it.

It also comes in a taller version, measuring 35.5 cm with a compartment on the side.

Care: clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products and prolonged moisture.
