Chiba Wall Shelf in Ash Veneer with Steel Straps — 120 cm

A single 120 cm run, hung from black steel straps. 29 cm deep.

One long, straight board suspended from three thin black steel straps — one at each end and one in the middle, which is what stops a shelf this long from bowing.

A hundred and twenty centimetres gives you an uninterrupted run: books upright from end to end, or a sequence of pieces with air between them. And 29 cm of depth is generous for a wall shelf — it takes art books lying flat, a small printer, archive boxes.

The top is ash veneer, pale and strongly grained, over MDF. The black steel straps are left in plain sight on purpose: they are the only detail on the piece.

Care: wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive products and prolonged damp on the veneer.
