It belongs to the same family as the Abano entrance shelf, and that's where it makes sense: the shelf above, the coat rack below, both of the same width. Made for those who have too much wall space and too little furniture.

On its own, it serves the purpose of a bar — for coats, bags, hats — with the advantage that light wood doesn't mark a white wall like black metal does.

Seventy centimeters can hold three or four adult coats without them touching.

Poplar is a light wood, with a soft grain and pale colour. It's lightweight, so two common wall plugs will hold it.
